A UK Youth free resource is now available for sessions to run with young people to promote mental health and emotional well-being, which draws on the experience of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation five-year (2009 – 2014) Right Here young people’s mental health programme, jointly run with the Mental Health Foundation and four ‘pilots’ in Brighton and Hove; Fermanagh, Northern Ireland; Newham (managed by New Choices for Youth) and Sheffield.
The resources author Wook Hamilton says: “These activities will be of interest to workers who are looking to find a way of addressing mental health issues with young people in the work they do. We are confident in the materials, as most of the ideas in ‘Heads Up!’ have been ‘road-tested’ by the projects involved in Right Here.”
